I received some suport for a manual registry fix, having to do with my link. files etc. the key is currupted is the jist of the support and Alex Z. gave me step by step instructions on how to fix manually thru a microsoft web site, but at the end of the
dialogue the fix was meant for windowsNT stations and not specifically for windows home premium 7 64 bit which I have, I can not do a system restore or factory reset because I habve one of those rebate laptops awarded two years ago in an HP class action suit,
and believe me the laptop I got in return is not half the machine I origionally paid hard erned dollars for, the partition in D dick doesn't even have a recovery set or image or anything I can access anyway. So Alex Z if you see this and remember the thread
from the 14 of this month by STEVIELEE then can you let me know if the fix is generic so I don't ruin what little I have left, I am laidoff and this laptop is my only work search link so you can imagine how important it is too me. and if anyone elese
has ever had the link files all get synced froma miss-que using Goggle Chrome perhaps you can share a wayy I can rid these shortcjuts and the hold it has on so many of my other files it changed all the icons and "open with designations from their defaults.
