I hear static in my speakers but no audio. I considered buying a new audio card. But something tells me that the problem is in the registry. Can anyone tell me if it is likely that the problem is in the Windows management instrumentation software? If so, how do I deal with it? Also, if I reload Windows XP, will I lose the office suite?
