Windows 10, 64-bit, Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.447)
I am using the Windows Performance Recorder (WPR), which is part of the Windows Performance Toolkit, to analyse an intermittent slow-boot issue.
When I say 'slow' I mean that the system hangs for 20 minutes during the boot process. After this 20 minute 'pause' the system continues to boot normally, with no further noticeable issues.
Nothing is recorded in Event Viewer, so I have resorted to WPR to obtain a trace during Boot.
The problem I have is that when I configure WPR to analyse a Boot and repeat the boot process 100 times (to try and catch a slow-boot), WPR proceeds to cycle with boot restarts, and not withcold boots. I have only ever seen my problem when cold-booting.
Is there any way to configure WPR to perform cold boots as opposed to restarts?
