CPU Maxed Out when charger is plugged in.

Hi, I am currently using an HP Touchsmart tm2t-1100, and as of about 2 months ago, whever I shut the laptop when it is off the charger, and plug the computer in, or whenever I plug the laptop in from any duration of time off of the charger, the computer all of a sudden maxes out the Cpu (Bringing it to 100%) for absolutely no reason, and in order to use the computer again, I have to close the lid, wait for it to enter sleep mode, and the reopen it. When that is done the laptop works as it should.

If this is any help, I have an intel core i5 processor (first gen), 500 gig 5400 rpm disk drive, with 4 gigs of ddr3 ram.

Again, this just appeared out of nowhere.

Any advice helps!

Thank you!
